It is worth a call before the layout is final. Moving a wall is easier to plan around than a panel that turns out to be full.

Panel upgrade questions

What is a tenant improvement?

It is the work done to change a commercial space for a tenant, such as moving walls, adding rooms or updating lighting and outlets. The electrical has to follow the new layout.

Who should call you, the landlord or the tenant?

Either one, or the general contractor. We are happy to talk with whoever is running the project and keep the others informed.

Do you work with general contractors?

Yes. We work alongside the contractor and the other trades on the project.

Can the existing panel handle the new layout?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. We check the panel early and tell you plainly whether it can carry the new load.

Do you do small changes too?

Yes. A few added outlets or new lighting in a reception area is a perfectly good reason to call.

How much does tenant improvement electrical work cost?

It depends on the size of the space and what the layout needs. We go over it with you and give you a clear price before any work starts.
