If any of these sound familiar, call and describe it. We will tell you honestly whether a new panel is the answer.
A breaker is a switch that shuts off a circuit when too much current flows through it. Like any switch, it wears. In many Sun City and West Valley homes the breakers are as old as the house, and some have been reset many times over the years.
Some older breakers are no longer made, and a few older breaker types have a history of not tripping when they should. A replacement has to be made and listed for your panel, not just one that fits the slot. If the panel itself is the problem, we tell you plainly, and replacing the panel is a separate conversation.
We check whether the breaker has worn out or is doing its job on a circuit with a problem. A new breaker will not fix a fault in the wiring.
A replacement made and listed for your panel, sized to the wire on that circuit.
We check the wire where it connects to the breaker for heat damage or looseness.
You hear the price before we start. The trip and diagnostic fee depends on distance.
The circuit labeled and tested with the new breaker in place before we leave.
Two years on all labor and material we provide.
A real person answers. Tell us which breaker and what it is doing.
We test the breaker and its circuit and tell you in plain words what we found.
You hear the price first, and nothing is done until you say yes.
Licensed, insured work under AZ ROC #341966. The new breaker is tested on its circuit and covered for two years.
Usually not. A single worn or damaged breaker can be replaced on its own. If the panel shows damage, or breakers for it are no longer made, we explain that plainly and let you decide.
We do not recommend it. Parts of the panel stay live even with the main breaker off, and the new breaker has to be the right type and size for your panel. A licensed electrician should do it.
A breaker that trips when a lot is running is usually doing its job. One that trips with almost nothing on, will not reset or feels warm may be failing. We test both to know for sure.
No. A breaker can fit the slot and still be the wrong one. It needs to be made and listed for your panel and sized to the wire it protects.
It depends on the breaker your panel takes and what we find at the connection. We test first and give you a clear price before any work starts.

An arc fault circuit interrupter, or AFCI, is a breaker or outlet that watches for arcing, a dangerous spark in damaged or loose wiring…
Usually not. In most cases, existing circuits in an older home do not have to be brought up to today’s AFCI rules just because the code…
