Commercial electricianTenant improvementsIndustrial controlsA light that flickers, buzzes or will not turn on is often a small fix. We find out whether it is the fixture, the switch, the dimmer or the wiring behind them, and fix that part. You hear the price before we start.
If any of these sound familiar, call and describe it. We will tell you honestly whether a new panel is the answer.
Fixtures, switches and dimmers in older West Valley homes have been switched on and off for a lot of years. Sockets wear, switch contacts loosen and the wires inside a fixture can turn brittle from the heat of older bulbs.
Sometimes the cause is in the box behind the fixture or switch, such as a loose splice or a wire pushed into the back of a switch that has worked loose. We check there too, so the repair holds.
We test the socket, the switch, the dimmer and the wiring to find what actually failed.
We repair what can be repaired and replace what is worn, and we tell you which before we start.
Worn switches replaced and dimmers matched to the lights they control.
Splices and connections in the box tightened or remade.
You hear the price before we start. The trip and diagnostic fee depends on distance.

Common causes are a worn socket, a loose connection at the fixture or switch, or a dimmer that is not made for the bulb. If lights flicker in several rooms at once, the cause is more likely on the circuit, and we test for that too.
Often the dimmer and the bulbs are not made to work together, or a connection is loose. We find which one it is and fix it.
Sometimes. A socket or switch can often be repaired. If the fixture’s wiring is brittle or the housing is damaged, replacing it is usually the better choice. We tell you plainly.
Yes. Worn switches are a common repair. We check the wiring behind the switch as well, since a loose wire can be the real cause.
