Local electrical service for Glendale homes. Call and a real person answers, any hour, and you hear the price before anyone is sent out.
Glendale was founded in 1892, when William J. Murphy and his partners platted it as a temperance colony along the new Arizona Canal, and it incorporated as a town in 1910. The city grew from 97,172 residents in 1980 to 248,325 in 2020. It is home to the Catlin Court historic district, Sahuaro Ranch and State Farm Stadium.
Because Glendale has grown for more than a century, its homes range from early bungalows to houses built in the last few years. An older home may need a panel evaluation or a repair to aging wiring. A newer one may be ready for an EV charger, a new circuit or whole home surge protection.
Glendale is one of the West Valley cities where your electric utility depends on your address. Some homes are served by APS and others by SRP, so check your bill to know which one to call during an outage. Glendale is an incorporated city, so electrical permits go through the City of Glendale Building Safety division at its Development Services Center.
