Sun City Grand homes were built between 1996 and 2005, so most panels here are not old. When a panel upgrade comes up, it is usually because you want to add something. Call and we will talk it through.
Sun City Grand opened in 1996 and its last homes were finished in 2005. A panel from those years is rarely a problem on its own, so we do not start from the idea that yours needs replacing. The more common question here is capacity: whether the panel can carry what you want to add.
An EV charger, a second refrigerator in the garage, a larger air conditioner or a backup power setup can each use a large share of a panel’s capacity. We look at what is already connected and how much room is left. If a new circuit fits, that is what we recommend. If the panel is full or undersized for the plan, we explain the upgrade in plain terms.
Unlike Sun City and Sun City West, Sun City Grand sits inside the City of Surprise. Panel and service upgrades are permitted through the City of Surprise Community Development Department, not the county. Electric service is provided by APS, which handles the meter side when a service changes.

Maybe not. Most panels from that era are doing their job. The usual reason for an upgrade here is a new load, like an EV charger, that the current panel cannot carry.
The City of Surprise Community Development Department, because Sun City Grand is within Surprise city limits.
We can get a good start on the phone if you describe the panel and what you want to add. Sometimes we need to look in person to give a straight answer.
No. If a single new circuit does the job, that is what we recommend.
Yes. Pricing is given before dispatch. There is a trip and diagnostic fee that depends on distance, and nights and weekends cost more. You hear all of that on the phone before anyone drives out.
