Many Sun City homes still have the electrical panel they were built with. If yours is acting up, or you are adding something new, call and talk it through with a real person first.
Sun City opened in 1960, and homes were added over the decades that followed. In many of them, the electrical panel, the box that feeds every circuit in the house, has been in place for a long time. Panels from those years were sized for what households used then, and many homes now ask more of them.
An older panel is not automatically unsafe, and we will not tell you to replace one that is doing its job. Signs it deserves a look include breakers that trip often, lights that dim when a large appliance starts, scorch marks, or no space left to add a circuit. A panel that feels hot or smells of burning is a reason to call right away.
Sun City is unincorporated, so panel and service upgrades are permitted through Maricopa County Planning and Development. The county treats upgrades of 200 amps or less and services over 200 amps as separate permit types. We explain what applies to your home before any work begins.
A real person answers any hour. You hear the price before we come out, and our work carries a two-year warranty on labor and material.

No. Age is one factor, not the whole answer. We look at how the panel is working, what it is feeding, and what you plan to add, and we tell you plainly if a repair is enough.
Maricopa County Planning and Development, because Sun City is an unincorporated community. Electrical upgrades up to 200 amps and services over 200 amps are separate permit types.
No. We do not turn a dead outlet into a panel pitch. If a repair fixes the problem, that is what we recommend.
Sometimes. It depends on your panel’s size and what is already connected to it. We can start with a phone conversation and look in person if needed.
