Solana Electrical serves Avondale homes from our base in El Mirage. Call and a real person answers, any hour, and you hear the full price, trip fee included, before anyone drives out.
Avondale started as a settlement called Coldwater, near the Agua Fria River, in 1880. The post office later took the name of a nearby ranch, Avondale, and the city incorporated in December 1946. Avondale is home to Phoenix Raceway, a one mile oval that opened in 1964.
For most of its history Avondale was farm country planted in alfalfa and cotton. It had 8,168 residents in 1980 and 89,334 in 2020, so most of its homes are from the last few decades, with a smaller share of older houses. In older homes we often trace tripping breakers, dead outlets and tired panels. In newer ones the calls lean toward added circuits, lighting and surge protection.
Avondale is split between APS and SRP, so check your bill to know which utility to call in an outage. Electrical permits go through the City of Avondale Development Services department. Avondale is farther from us than the Sun Cities, and the trip and diagnostic fee reflects that. We tell you what it is on the phone before anyone drives out.
A real person answers any hour. You hear the price before we come out, and our work carries a two-year warranty on labor and material.

Yes. Avondale is in the West Valley, but it is farther from our base in El Mirage than our core area around the Sun Cities. The trip and diagnostic fee depends on distance, and you hear it on the phone before anyone drives out.
It depends on your address. Parts of Avondale are served by APS and parts by SRP. Your bill shows which one, and that is the company to call when the whole street is dark.
The City of Avondale Development Services department handles building permits, including electrical work, for homes inside city limits.
Usually not, but it is worth a call. A breaker that trips again and again is cutting power to a circuit with a problem. If you smell burning or see scorch marks, turn that breaker off and call us right away. Otherwise we can usually tell you on the phone whether it can wait for regular hours.
Yes. Pricing is given before dispatch. The trip and diagnostic fee depends on distance, and nights and weekends cost more. You hear all of it on the phone first.
